Little Snuff can't walk in line.
There is also so much to see -
like Giraffe's super long stilt legs
and Wildebeest's pointed prick horns.
And then he sees Crocodile's snap-snap teeth...
Watch out, Little Snuff!
A curious elephant has difficulty staying neatly in the elephant line during a trip. He sees so many animals that look different and have characteristics that he does not have. He also wants beautiful pointed prick horns like a wildebeest, long stilt legs like a giraffe, or a speckled coat like a cheetah. Every time he asks for it, he is told 'No, stay in line!'. Only when the animals arrive at the watering hole does he experience that he too has unique properties, and that he is beautiful with his large floppy ears and splashing trunk. The illustrations are made in a collage-like style, with the animal figures without entourage on a white background in beautiful calm colors. With nice details, such as the blue bird that is always nearby and the wordless adventure of two dung beetles that try to roll through a dung ball throughout the book. The short, simple reading text with a repetition element is spread between the images. Cheerful picture book with a heart-warming message about a positive self-image. From approx. 4 years.
