With her background in interior styling, owner Merel knows better than anyone how to collect the most beautiful and cool items for children in her webshop "Mevrouw Aardbei". She does this by staying ahead of the trends and traveling the world to select the most unique items from the most beautiful brands. Many must-haves for your child, but also for yourself, all equally stylish and an asset to any interior!

Mrs. Strawberry was born out of passion…a way of life!
"The name Mrs. Strawberry comes from my childhood. When I was about 2 years old, I once responded seriously to the question 'Who are you?'. My answer was 'Strawberry'. A little later I had to have an operation and I wore a strawberry sweater in the hospital. A doctor who knew my mother well called me 'Mrs. Strawberry' after the incident and the sweater. In the rest of my life I was regularly called Mrs. Strawberry.
I have always been involved in design. In 2007 I completed the training at Cibap Zwolle; Designer Advertising Presentation and Communication. After that my dream was to go to Academie Artemis Amsterdam; in 2010 I completed the training Interior Styling. After that I freelanced various activities that had to do with styling. To show my work I wanted to make a website. On the site I offered a number of products in addition to my work, the products on the site, then still mainly home accessories, started to sell better and better. I discovered that my passion lies mainly with articles for children.
I work every day with great pleasure: there is still so much beauty to discover! It is therefore not surprising that styling has become my profession. That is how the webshop Mevrouw Aardbei was born."
In 2017 we had a son and in 2021 we had a daughter. Of course I can really enjoy their rooms, toys and clothes.
