Midbec Tapeter has been one of Sweden's leading wallpaper companies since its foundation in 1974. Much has happened in both the market and the company since its inception. For 20 years, the company has been owned by Bengt Johnson. He started in the company more than 30 years ago as a salesman.

Midbec Tapeter has always been a Swedish wallpaper brand that imports the best collections from Europe. Around 2014 they hired their first full-time designer and started their own production. With the three star designers Hanna Wendelbo, Björn Nilsson and Lina Schnaufer they have created the most beautiful designs and collections. Consumers all over the world are addressed with this.

Midbec Tapeter has been around for almost 50 years and is owned and run by Bengt and his son Per. The business plan from the beginning was to import wallpaper from Europe's strongest brands and sell it on the Swedish market. Today, however, the business model is very different.

In 2014, almost 10 years ago, they set their sights on the drawing board and hired their first designer. Today, they have a team of designers who are continuously adding to the Scandinavian wallpaper heritage.

It is important for them to be able to offer hand-drawn designs with Swedish and Scandinavian influences. The different styles and expressions open up more markets, besides Sweden. The goal is simple: they want Swedish design to decorate walls all over the world for years to come.
