When you think of a baby crib, most people immediately think of the accompanying canopies. When furnishing the baby room, a lot of attention is often paid to the choice of the crib. Rightly so, because it is the first safe 'nest' for your baby as soon as it is born.

Perhaps it is the crib that you yourself have slept in or that has been in the family for decades. It is no coincidence that most cribs use a so-called 'canopy'. That canopy provides a sense of security for your baby, you limit the space and thus create a private, smaller world. Moreover, a well-chosen canopy also immediately provides an enormous decoration to your room; it is often the crowning glory.

In the past, most canopies were made by hand and the attachment was particularly difficult. It was done with rods and clamps. Those days are over. At Mrs. Aardbei we have purchased truly beautiful canopies for you, which are attached to a hook that you make in the ceiling. A ring spreads the (large) piece of fabric, which falls down like a waterfall and which you can drape over the cradle and later over the bed. It is not cheap, but then you do have a beautiful, large amount of top-quality fabric and in a beautiful, simple, stylish design. Talk about eye-catchers!

For babies but also for toddlers and preschoolers

Not only does it look great above the crib, it also does very well in your toddler's or preschooler's room. In fact, it does exactly the same thing there as it does for your baby: it creates their own, smaller, safe world. They sit in their own 'tent'. Nice and safe in the evening; a party to play in during the day. And another tip: a few clothes pegs on it and you have your own mosquito net above the bed in the summer.

Top quality canopies in various materials and colours

We bought two brands for you, with canopies in different materials and colours. From the brand Liewood we have canopies with a diameter of 50 cm and a height of 200 cm. They are made of natural cotton in the colours powder pink and stone grey. They are finished with pom-poms, which gives them a Nordic style.

We have almost all types of the Cotton&Sweets brand in our collection! All canopies of this brand have a diameter of 50 cm and a height of 235 cm plus 60 cm strings. This also makes them suitable for rooms with high ceilings. There is a loop inside, which makes it possible to hang another lamp or a mobile. We have the cotton powder pink model in a cotton fabric and the mustard version in 100% polyester.
If you are looking for something really special, we also have the pure nature line from Cotton&Sweets. These are handmade canopies made of 100% linen - antibacterial, anti-fungal and anti-allergic.
